India Korea Business Meeting on 29mJuly 2021

Korean and Indian businessmen and business leaders based in the UAE discussed ways and means to further strengthen mutual cooperation and collaboration ahead of Expo 2020 Dubai. This event was organized on 29 July 2021 at the Indian Consulate. It was jointly organized by the Consulate General of India in Dubai, the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Dubai along with the Korea International Trade Association. The interactive session was attended by Indian and Korean professionals from steel, construction, investment, supermarket, healthcare, logistics, food distribution, personal care and corporate groups. The meeting was chaired by I.E. Dr. Aman Puri, Consul General of India in Dubai and H.E. Byung Jun Moon, Consul General of the Republic of Korea, Dubai.

VAE India Food Security Summit 2020

The Consulate General of India, Dubai, in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Invest India hosted the UAE Food Security Summit in India on 8-9. December 2020 to promote trade and investment cooperation in the food sector. The two-day summit was attended by more than 200 importers/exporters, investors and entrepreneurs from the food and related industries. The summit under the presidency of E.E. Pavan Kapoor, Ambassador of India to the UAE and H.E. Dr. Aman Puri, Consul General of India in Dubai was also attended by Shri Rana Gurmeet Singh Sodhi,Dear Minister of Sports, Youth Services and NRA Affairs, Government of Punjab, H.E. UAE-India Health Conference 2020, 19October 2020

UAE-India Healthcare Conference 2020, jointly organized by the Embassy of India, Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of India, Dubai, FICCI and Invest India to explore ways and means of building collaboration and partnerships in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, medical device and alternative medicine sectors. This conference was an important platform for discussions on collaboration and exploring ways and means of deeper engagement in the health systems of both countries. High level Indian delegation led by Hon'ble Minister for Food Industry, Smt. Harsimrat Kaur Badal, visited Dubai from 16February 18, 2020for Gulfood 2020. Honorable Minister launched Gulfood 2020February 16, 2020. India Pavilion was represented at Gulfood 2020 with APEDA (Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority), Tea Board India, Coffee Board India, Coconut Board of India and Cashew Export Board. The Consulate hosted a Business Roundtable on Opportunities in the Food Processing Industry in India on February 17, where the Honorable Minister, Ms. Harsimrat Kaur Badal, addressed the meeting. More than 50 prominent business groups, traders and investors participated in the round table conference.

The Honorable Minister also met with the UAE Minister of Food Security, Her Excellency Mariam bint Mohammed Saeed Hareb Al Mheiri on 17 February on the sidelines of Gulfood 2020. Delegation visit from the Ministry of Civil Aviation, India

In connection with the next edition of Wings India 2020, a delegation led by Mr. Pradeep Singh Kharola, Secretary, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India Dubai from 15February 17, 2020. The Secretary met Mr. Saif Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Director General of the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority and invited him to Wings India 2020. They also discussed ways to strengthen the India-UAE strategic partnership, particularly intungactor. The secretary also met with the ruler of Ras Al Khaimah and senior executives of Emirates Airlines and Flydubai.

Visit of IFS Trainees in Dubai

A group of 10 diplomats-in-training from India and Bhutan were on the 6th.February 7, 2020. The diplomatic trainees had an orientation meeting with the consul general and all the consuls. They visited the UAE Federal National Council and met with the Secretary General H.E. Dr. Omar Al Nuaimi. The Consulate also facilitated a tour and interactive session of Jebel Ali Port & Freezone (DP World) for the visiting diplomats on 6mFebruary.

Intersek 2020

The Trade Promotion Organization of India organized India's participation at Intersec 2020, which was held at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre, UAE from 19 to 21 January 2020. The India Pavilion was organized with 21 companies from India. Wide range of monitoring, surveillance, CCTV, DVR, video management and analytics, access/access control, perimeter security systems, personal protective equipment (PPE), fire safety equipment, workplace environmental protection and security/smart wearables etc. were presented by the participating companies. The Consul General inaugurated the India Pavilion on January 19 and interacted with the Indian exhibitors.
