Restart the app to download Designer
Sometimes users notice that the first time they launch PowerPoint after installing Microsoft 365,Designerbutton is not available. Restarting the app will fix this problem.
If no design ideas are available, a few things could be to blame. Primarily:
-
Make sure you are connected to the Internet. The designer goes online to get his design ideas.
-
Use a theme that comes with PowerPoint (not a custom theme or one downloaded from somewhere else).
Here are other issues and how to fix them:
There are no design ideas for image slides
-
Make sure your slide has one of the twotitleofTitle + contenttransparency provision implemented.
-
Do not use extra objects or shapes on the same slide as your image.
-
Use up to four images (.jpg, .png, .gif or .bmp) per slides, making sure they are larger than 200 x 200 pixels.
There are no design ideas for process based slides

Make sure your slide hasTitle + contenttransparency provision implemented.
-
Do not use additional photos, objects or figures on the same slide as the process text.
Since Designer is a relatively new service, it is still learning new tricks. If the designer cannot generate high-quality settings for you, no settings will be displayed at all. We work hard to create good design ideas for more variations of your content.
And of course, if you don't find the Designer useful, you can disable it by visitingDuration>Choice>Generaland then uncheck the box that saysAutomatically show me design ideas.
